Day 15: Saturday July 24

Day 16: Sunday July 25

Today was our official last full day in North spirit lake! We kicked it off with a great church service in which Michael Bessette preached and Amy and Katriel shared their amazing testimonies. Our worship team also did a great job and we are thankful to have such talented people on the team. After church we went back to the school for a quick leftover lunch and split up our team into 3 groups to take on cleaning all the facilities we used during our stay. It was a lot of dirt to tackle but we got it done in good time and then enjoyed our last dinner before heading off to church. While some of us headed off to evening church a couple of us attended a birthday party for Samuel (one of the kids we met this year) - it was a blast and we sure appreciated the invite.

There's still lots to be done and its going to be a late night and an early morning for the team. While most of us are looking forward to having our own personal bathrooms and showers again, all of us are reluctant to say farwell for now to the kids and great people of North Spirit Lake. A lot of really great things happened on this trip so we're so excited to see what kinds of awesome things will continue to happen in North Spirit Lake after we leave. Please keep our flight and journey back in your prayers!! See you all soon!

Day 12: Wednesday July 21

Today we got to participate in a sweet celebration. Wednesday marked the beginning of North Spirit Lakes' Aboriginal and Canada day celebrations. They postponed their original celebrations so that we could be here when they had these events. It was so awesome to be invited to join them! The event started at around 2:30-ish so we ran day camp for 2 hours and then brought the kids over to the community center to start the games and competitions.

Day 9: Sunday July 18

Today was our second Sunday in North Spirit Lake, and definitely a memorable one. It was the last day of tent revival services at Harvest Time Pentecostal Church and the weekend ended on a great note. There was a morning and an evening service today and we ran a Sunday School for the kids during both.  The peope who weren't running Sunday School got to participate in and serve communion in the morning and we also had the opportunity to pray with several of the people in attendance that day - it was awesome! God's presence was definitely felt today at the revival services! In between the services we had some chill time, which we used to play some volleyball with some of the teens and swim at  one of the favoured docks. All in all it was a great Sunday!
